Squaw Valley Motel Room #2

Wrongly described in booking.com but fine little motel. Positive: Good little room. Good shower. Good location to get up and into the National Park. Easy checkin and out. Negative: Our booking.com description said that this was a two bedroom, two bed room. This was definitely a classic small one bed motel room. Would be good to put some lights on the Motel sign. It’s very dark if you arrive at night and the sign is not lit up at all.

Small but decent rooms Positive: Even though the rooms are small, they are clean and good enough for coming and going to the National Parks. Responsive owner helped correct problem with not having another bedroom due to listing error on Booking.com. Negative: Room number 2 was listed incorrectly on Booking.com as being a 2 bedroom. I was surprised to discover that it was a very small one queen bedroom. The owner was responsive and fortunately gave us the room next door, which happened to be available thank goodness. Otherwise, I really don't know what we would have done. This mistake really needs to be corrected, since we really did need 2 bedrooms. It was less convenient to have to go back and forth between rooms, but I am grateful that the owner was accommodating. There was no fridge and microwave in the rooms, however, there at least was a fridge and microwave available in a common area in a very hot room behind the office area of the motel, along with an ice maker. The A/C unit in the bathroom keeps the room cool enough to be bearable, but it was still pretty warm.
