Room #1 at the Apple Place

They clearly didn't clean their bedding or towels. Footprint on pillow case. Positive: The location is close to King's Canyon. Negative: When we got there, it was clear that the room had not been cleaned. There was dirt on the blankets and sheets. And I don't mean a little dirt, I mean it was clearly visible. It looked like someone had actually stepped on the pillow case with a really dirty shoe. It was pretty disgusting. I went to take a shower after camping for several days, only to find that the hand towel in the bathroom was also dirty. I opted to skip the shower, because I wasn't confident that the towels had actually been washed. Lastly, the blinds hung at a weird angle to where you could see into the room from the outside. That left no privacy and I couldn't even get changed in the room, I had to go into the bathroom.

Nice cabin with modern climate control and bathroom; kitchen is camp-style / BYOF Positive: The room was like a cabin in a good way -- very homey. Everything was very clean. Sink and shower worked great. The location has very good proximity to King's Canyon National Park and decent proximity to Sequoia National Park. I really enjoyed my stay here and would book again. Negative: The owner's dog was chained outside and bit me on the hand right in front of the owner. However, the dog did have an up-to-date rabies vaccination, LOL. The location is listed on Google Maps as a Bed & Breakfast, which really isn't accurate. They provide a camp-style kitchen setup, but you must bring your own food. When I mentioned this discrepancy to the owner, she kind of brushed of responsibility for getting that corrected.

Very adequate for a few days Positive: Room was very adequate. Close to both parks. Water pressure was remarkable! Negative: A chair,although it would be tight with size of the room. Wish front window was functional.

Positive: Self check in and check out, microwave is game changer at this location😅 cus not too many cafes near by
